London Midland Class 150/1 Repaint - Now Available
I have just uploaded a new repaint to the DPSimulation website courtesy of Richard Fletcher.
Utilising the recently released Class 150/1 available from Steam, this repaint depicts the class in London Midland livery.
Following
the furore surrounding physics with the release of this product, the
simulation files have been aliased to the Thomson/Oovee Class 150/2,
this means you must own both products in order for this repaint to work. A
small fix has also been included to enable use of the two tone horn as
well as fixes to correct the speedometer and top attainable speed.
As with all downloads, please pay attention to the documentation included.
This pack can be downloaded from the 'DMU' section of Richard's page by following this link.

Birmingham Cross City V1.0 – Now Released
I have now released the
first version of Birmingham Cross City on the DPSimulation website.
Following the loss of a
certain amount of data as outlined on this blog during the
announcement of ECMLNE V4 earlier this week, and following an endless
barrage of requests to release the Redditch to Barnt Green section as
seen on Youtube, I have decided to release a first version of the
route between Redditch and Longbridge for users to look at and
evaluate, and understand the vision I have for the eventual project
to Birmingham New Street and beyond.
It's
hard to define a period in which the route is set, infrastructure
wise the layout is from around the late 90's, but station signage and
surrounding scenery will reflect the current period, this crossover
should allow a broad period for the use of rolling stock without it
looking out of place.
The requirements are as
follows........WCML Trent Valley, Liverpool to Manchester and South
London Lines which are all available from Steam, along with the AP
Station Pack. Although this pack isn't available to download, it is
included with a large number of popular routes available on Steam.
The package also includes my Route Building Pack 01, please overwrite
files when prompted if you already have this installed.
Basic Quick Drive is
included in this initial version with an all new custom quick drive
system planned when there are more route miles.
This all new route can
be downloaded by following this link.

East Coast Mainline: North East - V1.4 Released
Following a challenging 2016 so far, I am pleased to announce that
V1.4 of East Coast Mainline: North East is now available for
download.
Unfortunately, it still
does not include the full extension to Leeds but does include the not
insignificant 17 mile
section between York and East Garforth. Following the good progress
made last year, this is obviously not where I wanted to be with the
route, but following the death of my mother earlier this year, at
some point I inexpicably replaced all backups with the files from the
workshop version, meaning I lost the majority of work between York
and Leeds, along with some other bits and pieces that I had been
working on. What has been released today has been an attempt to
rescue the project somewhat and it should still prove as a reminder
to the vision I still have for this route.
The new 17 mile section
features Colton Junction where the ECML diverges towards Doncaster,
as well as the stations at Ulleskelf, Church Fenton, Micklefield and
East Garforth. Scenery is completed in full throughout and although
scenery has been trimmed back in areas where there are cuttings and
the surrounding scenery cannot actually be seen, this has no impact
on visuals when driving from the cab or from near the train.
As well as the original
requirements of the East Coast Main Line (Newcastle to York) and
Great Eastern Main Line (London to Ipswich), the route also now
requires the AP Station Pack. Although this pack isn't available to
download, it is included with a large number of popular routes
available on Steam.
The update can be
