East Coast Mainline: South – Hertford Loop - More WIP Images

Just a couple more images of the Hertford Loop extension before I take a break for the rest of the weekend.

Because i've committed to this being a Steam Workshop only project, trying to create the stations using only the assets provided by the selected route requirements is proving to be quite a challenge!

Further to the recent announcement that the next stage of this project will be to add scenery to the Hertford Loop, here are some work in progress images.

East Coast Mainline: South – Planned Extension

After receiving quite a few enquiries following the release of the latest version, I thought i'd post a quick update on what the plan is for ECML: South.

Now that the eastern track extension has reached Royston, that will be the limit for that section, for the time being at least. Work will now concentrate on adding scenery to the Hertford Loop, starting at the southern end and working up towards Stevenage. I've now compiled and purchased the relevant research material for this extension so it should be fairly straight forward.

As before, these scenery updates will be released in stages and once complete, should provide a whole new array of scenario opportunities on the route.

Class 66 Euro Cargo Rail Pack - Released

I have just uploaded a new repaint pack to the DPSimulation website courtesy of Richard Fletcher.

This is a repaint of the EWS Class 66 V2.0 DLC into several variations of EWS Euro Cargo Rail.

This reskin also makes full use of the excellent modifications as afforded by the 'Armstrong Powerhouse Class 66 Enhancement Pack'.   IT IS ESSENTIAL that this is installed, otherwise the reskin will not physically appear in the sim.

This pack can be downloaded from the 'Locomotives' section of Richard's page by following this link.

East Coast Mainline: South – Royston Update Released

I have just uploaded a new version of the route to the Steam Workshop. Scenery is now complete as far as Royston, enabling a logical start/end point for Class 365 services and means the full extension now gives an additional 12 miles or so on top of the original route.

As with all workshop updates, this should happen automatically for subscribers, however, I have no control over this process. If the route doesn't show up after installation, all I can suggest is to unsubscribe and re-subscribe to the route, I have no control over how the route installs on to your system.

The DPSimulation Steam Workshop can be found by following this link.

Class 66 GBRF Royal Scotsman Repaint - Released

I have just uploaded a new repaint to the DPSimulation website courtesy of Richard Fletcher.

This is a repaint of the Freightliner Class 66 V2.0 DLC into maroon 'Royal Scotsman' livery as applied to 66743 and 66746 in 2016.  Two versions are included to reflect differing versions of the GB Railfreight logo.

Donations

Although it is something I rarely do, i'm unfortunately left with no choice but to make an appeal due to the large amount of content we host, and the costs involved in doing so, as well as trying to keep it all free for everyone for now and for the future.

As many of you may be aware, we rely on donations from you, the community, in order to maintain the site. Although we do receive a small amount of income through advertising and Amazon referrals, this is nowhere near enough to cover our costs and although I am always willing to make up the shortfall, my funds are not unlimited and it can be a struggle.

If you like the work that we do or just want to help out, please consider a donation of any amount. Paypal donation buttons can be found on this blog, and on the DPSimulation website.

Class 66 Bardon Aggregates/Freightliner 66623 Repaint - Released

I have just uploaded a new repaint to the DPSimulation website courtesy of Richard Fletcher.

This is a repaint of the EWS Class 66 V2.0 DLC into blue livery with Bardon Aggregates branding as applied to 66623.  It also includes the later variation as carried, after removal of the Bardon branding and it's replacement with the current Freightliner logos.

VTEC Ex East Coast Class 43 Repaint Released

I have just uploaded a new repaint to the DPSimulation website courtesy of Richard Fletcher.

Utilising the Class 43 (MTU)/Mk3 Enhancement Pack, this repaint features powercars in VTEC - Ex East Coast livery.

Both the European Loco & Asset pack from Steam and the Class 43 (MTU)/Mk3 Enhancement Pack are required, otherwise this pack will not work.

This pack can be downloaded from the 'Locomotives' section of Richard's page by following this link.

East Coast Mainline: South – New Update Released

Following a report of foliage appearing on the track at stations when Procedural Flora is ticked, I have just uploaded a new version of the route to the Steam Workshop which should address this issue. Further to this, I received a request to add further portals at the southern end of the ECML, these have also been added.

As I had once again been working on a further extension to the route over the past few days, this means that the changes I had made are also included and therefore scenery is now complete as far as Ashwell & Morden. Quick Drive has also been added to this new location.

As with all workshop updates, this should happen automatically for subscribers, however, I have no control over this process. If the route doesn't show up after installation, all I can suggest is to unsubscribe and re-subscribe to the route, I have no control over how the route installs on to your system.
