East Coast Main Line: North East - New Early Access Version Released

I have just released a new update to the Early Access version of the East Coast Main Line: North East route which implements TSX night lighting on the line between Darlington and Middlesbrough.

Track has also been laid as far as Redcar East, along with accurate gradients, speed limits and signalling. Scenery is also starting to head that way and that will form the basis of the next stage of the project.

As ever, if there are any problems during the update process, please follow the troubleshooting steps at the address below, but for this early access version the numbered folder to delete is 3ed129c1-62b1-4a18-96de-b1d3a2030a5f

East Coast Main Line: North East - New Scenario

I have just uploaded a new scenario for the East Coast Main Line: North East route to the DPSimulation website.

The scenario depicts a service from Saltburn to Newcastle in 1994, and covers the track from Middlesbrough to Newcastle, taking around 75 minutes.

East Coast Class 91 - Released

I am delighted to announce that Daniel Conner (Startours) has kindly allowed me to host his all new East Coast Class 91 reskin. Thankyou Daniel!!

It can be downloaded by following this link.

Please note that along with the normal installation of copying over .geopcdx files for security reasons, an extra step has to be taken in order to remove the Intercity logo from the DVT.

To remove the InterCity logo from the DVT, you will need to open the copied mk4_dvt.GeoPcDx file with RW_Tools. Change the line:

..\..\..\class 91\default\engine\textures\[00]class91_icslogo

To

..\..\..\class 91\EastCoast_Grey\engine\textures\[00]class91_icslogo

This can be done with RWTools or RWTextEdit. However, make sure that the mk4_dvt.GeoPcDx is not set to 'Read Only' as it won't save if this is the case.

Class 143 Reskins - Released

I have just uploaded three fantastic all new reskins from Richard Fletcher for the Class 143 which is included with the Riviera Line. They are in Provincial, Metro and Tyne & Wear livery and as you would expect, are of the highest quality.

DPSimulation Prize Draw - Result

The winner of the second prize draw has been chosen, at random. All those with qualifying donations were assigned numbers, in some cases extra numbers were given to those who had donated multiples of £5. 

Congratulations to the winner, Tobias Shaw who has the choice of either £25GBP of gifted Steam Add-ons or £25GBP Steam Wallet Funds. The winner has been contacted via email, and I am awaiting their choice.
