East Coast Main Line: North East - Version 1.2 Released

I am pleased to announce the release of the V1.2 of the [DPS] East Coast Main Line: North East** route on the Steam Workshop. This latest version is available to everyone and those already subscribed should receive an automatic update.

Version 1.2 adds a further extension to the Darlington to Saltburn line, this time as far as Middlesbrough. Although the Middlesbrough area is still work in progress, there is sufficient scenery placed to enable a cab view run both to and from Middlesbrough. This now means that on top of the original Newcastle to York route, a stopping run between Middlesbrough and Darlington adds nearly 30 minutes of further driving.

If you encounter any issues after the update, please follow the troubleshooting steps outlined here: http://dpsimulation.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/east-coast-main-line-north-east_21.html

** Please note that the update is applied to the main release version of the route only, not the early access version.

E&G Pack - Dutch Pack Fix

An issue has been brought to my attention regarding the Edinburgh to Glasgow – Early 90's Passenger scenario pack.

On further inspection, it seems that a particular locomotive was used that wasn't included in the Class 37 'Dutch' pack available on the website. This would result in an error on some of the scenarios when trying to load.

I have fixed the issue this morning and re-uploaded the 'Dutch' pack to the server to include this missing locomotive. If you re-download and re-install this pack, the issue should be fixed. The pack can be downloaded from http://www.dpsimulation.org.uk/reskins.html and is called 'Dutch Class 37 Pack' and is located around a third of the way down the page.

Thankyou for your patience on this and apologies if this problem has affected you. More importantly, thankyou for your continued support. I have also personally emailed each customer who had bought this pack to make them aware of the issue and subsequent fix.

East Coast Main Line (Newcastle to York) - Scenario Pack Released

Possibly the most comprehensive overall scenario pack from DPSimulation to date, I have re-released a pack for the East Coast Main Line (Newcastle to York) which features BR Blue 1980's Passenger Operations.

As stated above, this is a re-release and if you had already downloaded the pack previously, there is no compulsion to do so. Changes made from the previously available pack include various scenario tweaks, along with minor changes to textures on the custom objects which feature heavily within the scenarios.

This scenario pack comprises of six scenarios, all based on the East Coast Main Line (Newcastle to York) route available from Steam. Set in the early 1980's BR Blue era, the pack covers various types of traction including the Class 31 Class 47, Class 43 HST and the Class 55. The scenarios offer varying and challenging operations and give around seven hours of further driving on this route.

Created using real timetables where possible, this scenario pack features prototypical consists for the era, prototypical passing AI, lots of adverse signals, AI interaction and much more...

The scenarios also utilise custom scenario specific scenery, from additional foliage, hay bales, period billboards and signage, to ambient station sounds, these additions really make a difference to the scenario experience and are available as a separate download from the product page.

Priced at just £1.99 for these six scenarios, the pack offers excellent value for money and as with all other packs at this low price point, they are designed to help support the website and keep the ever growing amount of free items available for free and with a high speed download. The pack can be viewed and purchased by following this link, which contains screenshots, a full list of requirements and a full description of each scenario in order to provide you with all the information needed before making a purchase.
