Haven spoken previously
about custom quick drive being part of the next update to the East
Coast Mainline: North East route, it's probably a good time to point
out that the core part of the route, the 80 miles or so between
Newcastle and York, is being completely upgraded as well.
When the original
groundwork was done on the route, to switch textures, track and add
electrification, much of the old detail from the original Newcastle
to York route was still in place. This is now in the process of being
completely overhauled.
Further new assets have
been created to better reflect how the route looks today, stations
are being rebuilt or upgraded with additional assets and the lineside
is being reworked, adding more detail to give a much more natural
look.
This update is
scheduled to be released soon, so keep an eye out for further
information in the near future.
