HTA EWS/DB Schenker Repaint Pack - Released

I have just uploaded a new repaint to the DPSimulation website courtesy of Richard Fletcher.

This pack contains repaints of the Dovetail Games\RSC Settle Carlisle HTA bogie hopper wagon into three versions of current liveries:

EWS Unbranded
EWS with DB Schenker branding
DB Schenker Red

A texture update is also provided for the 'default' EWS wagon as included within this route DLC.

Mods to braking physics have also been made - a seperate .bin file for the 'default' EWS wagon is provided, so as not to overwrite the current one and therefore risk potentially breaking scenarios.

This pack can be downloaded from the 'Wagons' section of Richard's page by following this link.

JNA Network Rail Repaint - Released

I have just uploaded a new repaint to the DPSimulation website courtesy of Richard Fletcher.

In response to a long standing request, this a reskin of the DBS MXA wagon as supplied with the Bristol Swansea DLC, into Network Rail yellow livery - mimicking a JNA wagon.

Class 47 Rail Operations Group - Now Released

I have just uploaded a new repaint to the DPSimulation website.

This pack is a repaint of the Kuju Class 47 locomotive in Rail Operations Group livery as carried by 47812 and 47815. Two variations are included, one with headboard and one without. Although ROG sometimes place the headboard in two different locations, I have specifically chosen to hang the headboard on the lower bracket.

This repaint requires you to own the European Loco & Asset Pack from Steam.

This repaint can be downloaded from the locomotives section of this page.

Rolling Stock Branding Packs

Recently I have been uploading various sets of branding packs to the DPSimulation website.

Much of the older stock bought on Train Simulator is unbranded and although there are branding packs available on several different websites, I decided to create some of my own due to much of the stock being used in my scenarios.

These branding packs can now be found on the reskins page of the DPSimulation website by clicking here.

Donations

This feels like something that is becoming far too regular and I hate doing it, but i'm often left with little choice but to make an appeal.

We don't ask users to sign up and don't charge for content at DPSimulation and never have any intention of doing so, the resource was created to maintain a free library of Train Simulator content. Although we do receive some donations, it often isn't enough to cover the costs we accrue due to the large amount of content we host and although i'm always happy to make up any shortfall, I'm not always able to do so.

As ever, if you like the work that we do or just want to help out, please consider a donation of any amount. Paypal donation buttons can be found on this blog, on the DPSimulation website or via paypal.me/dpsimulation

All donations are very much appreciated and help to maintain the resource for existing and future users. May I also thank those who have donated previously, your support is invaluable and we simply couldn't exist without you.

Steam Workshop - 1S04 - 1612 Wembley PRDC to Edinburgh

I have just released a new scenario on the Steam Workshop.

Route: ECML South: London to Peterborough
Difficulty: Medium
Length: 70 Minutes Approx
Start Time: 16:33

Description

This afternoon you are in charge of a Royal Mail service from Wembley PRDC to Edinburgh via Low Fell using a 4-car Class 325 EMU. You will drive the section from Belle Isle to Peterborough where you are to collect another driver.

Briefing

Starting at Belle Isle you are currently awaiting your path. Once given the signal to proceed, head to Peterborough where you will collect another driver.

Notes

Please remember that the maximum speed of your consist is 100mph, exceeding this speed may result in the scenario not functioning as intended. Also, try not to get caught out with TPWS overspeed like I did!!

When this service ran in the late nineties, it would often be routed via the slow lines from Huntingdon to Connington, even though nothing was booked to pass. I imagine this was intended for route retention so have therefore replicated it in the scenario.
