Train Simulator 2013 - East Coast Main Line Occlusion Upgrade

I have just released an occlusion upgrade for the East Coast Main Line (Newcastle to York) route. This upgrade contains occlusion assets placed at all overbridges along the route as well as at major station structures. The result means that the in-cab ambience is enhanced when driving under these bridges with a much more realistic shadow being cast. This also provides the added advantage of no rain penetrating unrealistically into major station buildings.

The upgrade can be downloaded by following this link.

  1. I can't say that I can see a noticeable difference between the two screen shots. What should I be looking for?

  2. It's slightly darker. To be honest, the main difference is noticeable when driving, it isnt intended to be viewed from the outside like above. Without occlusion, there would not be a shadow when driving under a bridge. With occlusion, you get the full shadow that will fade in and out as you pass under.

Then there is the rain blocking effect as well.
