Weekend Showcase - Great Eastern Main Line - 2004 - Part 1

In this showcase we feature the excellent Great Eastern Main Line route, available from the Steam Workshop and as seen in 2004. Although at this time National Express have recently taken over the Greater Anglia franchise under their 'ONE' brand, the line is awash with a kaleidoscope of different liveries. Part 1 of this showcase takes us from Norwich to Colchester.

90024 waits time at Norwich before working an afternoon service into London Liverpool Street - April 2004

90005 brings a ONE liveried set off Crown Point while working empty stock to Ipswich - April 2004

82133 leads through Diss with an empty stock working from Wembley to Crown Point - October 2004

Anglia liveried DBSO 9713 slows for it's station call at Stowmarket - April 2004

Passing Ipswich Upper Yard, 153309 leads an unidentified classmate with an early morning service to Lowestoft - July 2004

Following a spirited run up from the capital, 360106 arrives at Ipswich - May 2004

150217 passes Halifax Junction near Ipswich with a Harwich to Cambridge service - April 2004

321306 comes off the Harwich branch and heads into Manningtree where it will terminate - August 2004

90040 passes Manningtree with the 10:00 Norwich to London Liverpool Street service - May 2004

90049 slows for an adverse signal at Colchester while working an intermodal service to Felixstowe North - June 2004

On Thunderbird duties, 86238 sits in the Sudbury Dock siding adjacent to Colchester station - September 2004
